We seem to be travelling the globe in the footsteps of our very fortunate and ambitious daughters who study and work overseas. This time it was to attend a graduation ceremony and Paris was looking spectacular in the December sunshine. The nation was cheerful and very welcoming and we had a wonderful few days in this romantic city.
We stayed at the The Grand Pigalle Hotel which was relatively recently refurbished in a prohibition style and I cannot recommend it enough. Very well located we were advised expertly on where to go and what to see and the proprietor informed me that they have a sister hotel opening in London’s Henrietta Street, Convent Garden in February next year so I am very much looking forward to that.
Enjoying Paris we window shopped in Rue saint Honore and had a lovely lunch in Montmartre as well as managing to view the magnificent Eifle Tower and a few cheese and wine boards in charming French cafes.
