Monday and an early start to get to Convent Garden Flower Market which is such an institution. There is an abundance of budding colour and possibly every item that you may need to create a fantastic floral feature or decorate an event with the most creative of themes. I particularly love the banter that goes on amongst the market holders who are all very cheerful despite having been up since the very early hours of the morning. My mission was to source goodies for the forthcoming Leavers Ball which I am organising and my trusty companion Beatie and I even found time for a throughly British bacon butty and a cappuccino to keep us going. No trip to the flower market is complete without being tempted to purchase a few blooms to take home so this was also accomplished! The market is moving in due course due to the redevelopment of Battersea with development of the new Embassy Gardens the entire neighbourhood is undergoing a transformation but it remains to be a great start to the week despite the fact that at 9.15 am I felt as though it was lunchtime and I had already had a very productive morning!
