London is a city steeped in historical neighbourhoods and endless opportunities to explore. My perfect Sunday is a good brunch and time to enjoy our hometown. Ropewalk in London Bridge incorporates a series of railroad arches. Housed here is LASSCO (London Architectural Salvage and Supply Company). This has long been a destination for sourcing eclectic lighting, textiles, furniture and treasures to jazz up your interior and garden design.
With great ingenuity Lassco have incorporated a dining experience into three sites, each with their own original space. The Three Pigeons Oxford, Brunswick House Vauxhall and Ropewalk London Bridge. I enjoyed a delicious Brunch, great cup of coffee and excellent company catching up after the long Christmas break with a dear friend.
The Ropewalk stretch also hosts a series of street food stalls and under the arches other great restaurants such as 40 Maltby, St. John, Bar Tozino and Cafe Comptoir Gourmand all well worth a visit for a great culinary experience.
Despite rain and miserable British weather this morning. I watched the snow softly fall whilst in the cosy hub of LASSCO enjoying my baked eggs with chirozo and a steaming cappucino afterwhich we still had a great time exploring the arches ! And having started the new year with excellent intentions and some discipline I could not resist having a mouthwatering custard filled doughnut in St. John so it became a rather sinful Sunday!
